Nepal Land and Housing Development Association (NLHDA), established in 1994 after receiving authorization from Government of Nepal, is an apex body that brings all institutionalized practitioners of land and housing developers under one umbrella. It aims to find liaison between the concerned departments of Government of Nepal and such practitioners. It thus finds its special place in being able to influence policymakers for better land and housing regulations. All at the same time, it aims to standardize land and housing market of Nepal. One of the main aims of NLHDA is also to promote quality and set standard for housing and land development practice that may pave a way for everybody's benefit and service.

To unite all land and housing developers in the main stream to protect, promote, and develop their professional capabilities as well as to ensure and protect their clients' rights within Nepal without any discrimination.
To modernize the practice of land and housing development so as the sector becomes more contributing to the economy of the country.
To promote and institutionalize the practice of capital investment in the sector and to protect and promote welfare of the investors.
To forward its recommendations to the government in regard to land and housing sector's policy formulation and to counsel when needed.
To forward its recommendations to the government to help formulate policies that address the issues of unhealthy, unscientific, and unplanned practice of land and housing development.
To forward its recommendations to the government in regard to infrastructural development needed for land and housing development and also to seek its support thereof.
To ensure security and trustworthiness between the practitioners of land and housing developers and their clients.
Actively participate to find coordination between the government agencies and its policy formulation regarding land and housing development.
To request the government to implement its plan regarding land and housing development.
To recommend environment-friendly developers to the government so that they may receive special treatment to their plans.
To request and help the government to participate in national or international trainings and workshops related to land and housing development and also to organize them.
To keep uptodate relations with likeminded international organizations.
To organize trainings and workshops relating to land and housing development .
To recommend its members to banks and financial institutions for loan purposes.
To make and utilize different capitals; donate or receive donations; to file, defend, or fight lawsuits; to recruit manpower needed for the organization or to seek specialist help when needed.
To perform such duties to fulfill the organization's role.
To contribute to create public consensus in order to formulate land and housing laws and also to bring reforms in the existing laws when needed.
To contribute to the scientific development of the land and housing sector.
To report government's work on land and housing development to the public and to let government know the difficulties and restraints facing land and housing developers.
